Welcome to Library!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Strout, and I am thrilled to be bringing library class back to Hoover and Eisenhower Elementary. I am coming from Central Dauphin School District, where I taught for 18 years, as both a fifth grade teacher and a librarian. I was born and raised in State College (Go Lions!), and attended Pennsylvania State Univeristy for one year, then graduated from Shippensburg Univeristy. I have earned graduate degrees from Penn State and Shippensburg Univeristy.
My husband and I love dogs, and have recsued three dogs over the past 10 years. We currently have two "boys" named Barney and Mikey. Mikey is a beagle and Barney is a corgi/beagle mix. Along with taking my dogs for walks, I love to engage in other outdoor activites. I enjoy running, biking, kayaking, hiking, and swimming. I also am a member of three book clubs, love to watch movies, and try new restraunts. During the summer, I try to travel as much as possible. This summer, I was fortunate enough to visit Arizona and Maine.
As mentioned above, I will be servicing both Eisenhower and Hoover Elementary. I will be a Eisenhower in the morning and Hoover in the afternoon. Please feel free to contact with any questions or concerns regarding library.
