Thinking about playing sports at the collegiate level? Want to know more about how this process works?
Consider participating in our College Recruitment / Scholarship Book Study.
The Camp Hill Athletic Department will be offering a book study that explores the college recruitment process. Few students get recruited without doing the legwork to put themselves in a position to be noticed. To assist families and students on the various approaches to college recruitment, this book study is geared toward creating awareness and practical steps. Some of the big topics examined:
- Student / Coach outreach & communication
- Recruitment process
- Resume / profile building
- Camps & showcases
- Importance of academics
- Selection of college (s)
- Roles of parents & students
Who can participate?
Any rising 9th, 10th 11th or 12th grade Camp Hill family with an interest in playing sports at the collegiate level.
When and where will the program be held?
The 1st book study conversation will be held in the District Administrative Office on Wednesday, July 27th starting at 6:30 pm. Format for the book study will consist of a review of big ideas & content, key takeaways & best practices. It would be helpful to have and read most of the text before the 27th though not required. Additionally, attendance at July 27 discussion is not required in order to sign out a book.
Where do I get a copy of the book?
One copy of the book, The Athletic Scholarship Playbook, by Jon Fugler may be signed out at the high school office starting June 6. One book per family please.
