Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Mitchell

I am honored to be a part of the team here at Hoover Elementary. I’d like to take a moment to give you a brief background of myself both professionally and personally. I am originally for Scranton, Pa but moved to the Harrisburg area upon graduating from Kutztown University with an Elementary Education major and Early Childhood minor in 2004. After graduating college I continued my education by earning an English as a Second Language certificate from Shippensburg University/CAIU. I am currently pursing my Masters Degree through La Salle University. I reside in Marysville with my two children, Hunter (8) and Clara(6) and my husband Justin. We enjoy spending time in the creek, playing in the backyard, trying new rides at Hershey Park, jumping waves at the ocean, baking and playing board games together.

    2019 Book Fair

    • This year the PTO will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair during school and parent conferences.  On November 18th/19th, your child will have the opportunity to preview books and on November 20th/21st they will have the opportunity to purchase books.  Books will also be for sale during conference hours for parents to purchase. This year we will have the option to use Book Fair E-Wallet- a cash-free payment option for students that is safe, secure, and convenient. Parents can quickly set up a free account and set a spending limit. Any unused funds are released back to the cardholder. Look for information on E-Wallet and a flyer in your child’s take-home folder! Money earned will go towards updating classroom libraries, books, and activities.  A great way to help our school and stock up on Holiday gifts!
In order to make the book fair successful, the PTO needs LOTS of volunteers. Please see the Sign-up Genius link to volunteer and for coordinator contact information. *Note: To volunteer during school hours, you will need to have clearances on file with the district.
