Architecture I

Course of Study

Architecture I is studied through a hands on approach using GOOGLE SketchUp to make a complete set of drawings.  Students begin by selecting a plan from a magazine, newspaper or home design plan book.  The students set of drawings will include the following: plot plan, foundation plan, floor plan, electrical, elevations, and construction plans.  Additional time will be spent on kitchen and bathroom designs.

Grading

Accuracy and completeness of the drawings is the main grading criteria.  Some outside reports will be assigned to stimulate classroom discussion.
