About Mr. Crane

  • Greetings curious biographers and wayward procrastinators!

In addition to Theatre Arts, I teach our three junior-level English courses: AP English Language & Composition, College Preparatory English 11, and English 11. If I'm not in my classroom, you may find me in the Grace Milliman Pollack PAC, playing percussion or electric bass for our chorus concerts and spring musicals, or, possibly, grading. I also serve as advisor for the staff of The Camillon, our yearbook.

In the past, I've taught senior-level English courses CP Public Speaking, and CP Journalism. I've also served as an advisor to our school newspaper (The Mane Edition), literary magazine, and our Gay-Straight Alliance (Kaleidoscopic Lions). In 2015, I directed our fall play, A Delightful Quarantine, which was fortunate enough to earn a few Hershey Theatre Apollo Award nominations.

Looking further back, I am native to the Harrisburg area. I graduated summa cum laude from Kutztown University with a B.S. in Education in 2011. While attending KU, I performed with campus music ensembles, served in leadership positions for the KU Honors Program, and co-wrote/co-produced/co-directed student productions at Kutztown Area Middle School.

In 2018, I completed my M.A. in English at the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English. While studying there, I took courses in writing, literature, and drama, and performed in campus theatrical productions. I now largely spend my breaks reading, making music, and hiking through the National Parks.

I love teaching Camp Hill students and look forward to a promising year.
