The Camp Hill School District is pleased to announce the opportunity to apply for a Director of Special Education & Student Services position. This Act 93 Administrative role and cabinet member serves as a key district leader of K-12 student programs including Special Education, Gifted Education, ESL, Psychology, Transition, and Related Services.
The Director is responsible for ensuring compliance of Federal and State mandates for student programs, communicating a clear vision of excellence and continuous improvement consistent with the goals of the district, and overseeing the alignment, coordination, delivery, and legality of specialized programs and curricular areas. This position additionally maintains an active role with the Board of School Directors and collaborates frequently with internal and external stakeholders including students, families, employees, community members, and the district leadership team. Further, the Director implements and maintains budgets for student service programs, seeks funding sources for educational initiatives, and confers with the Superintendent to plan, initiate, and monitor policies concerning student programs.
Minimum Master’s Degree in Education or related field required. Active PDE Supervisor of Special Education Certification or Principal Certification required. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.
