    * Students may use their writing journal from school.  Students may choose from the writing ideas/prompts below.

Write a letter to a friend and tell them what you’ve been doing.

Would you rather go to outer space or deep sea diving? (provide 3-5 reasons why)

Write a story using these five words: apple, train, elephant, paper and banjo

Who is your favorite person on the planet? What do you like most about them? Why? (provided 3-5 reasons)

****Feel free to come up with your own story ideas

When you get ready to write a story don’t forget to plan first.  You can make your own web, list, hamburger, or picture to plan before you write.  Challenge yourself to write for a variety of reasons.
