A K-12 Comprehensive Guidance Plan is required under Chapter 339 of the Pennsylvania School Code. This Plan serves as a guiding document for counselors working with stakeholder groups of parents, students, teachers/administrators, businesses and community members to implement programs and services that move students toward success via academic, career and personal/social goals.

The Goals and Outcomes for 2017-18 for grades 9-12 are below.
Academic: During the 2017-18 school year, 9th grade students will increase their awareness about the range of options in a given career field.
Implementation: All 9th grade students are required to take the Career Exploration course.
Career Goal: During the 2017-18 school year, 11th and 12th grade students will have a written career plan
Implementation: All 11th and 12th grade students will meet individually with thei counselor
Personal/Social: During the 2017-18 schoool year, all 9th-12th grade students will be introduced to the Student Assistance
Implementation: All students will attend assembly, flyers distributed, shadow box displayed in school, information on the
high school and Counseling Center web pages, and one-to-one meetings based on need.
