In regards to additional reading groups:
We are in the process of getting to know your children through their daily work in the classroom and beginning of year benchmark assessments. We use this information to help us decide who would benefit from extra time spent working on reading skills and strategies. As we get to know your child, they may work informally with other teachers besides their classroom teacher. Please know that you will be contacted if there is a concern about your child's progress. We are working hard to determine the students who would benefit most from extra instruction to help them learn and be successful!
