Welcome to a school year that will be remembered for years to come!  Things will absolutely be looking and feeling very different this year, but that doesn't mean that this will be anything less than a FANTASTIC year!

I hope you all stop in for Back To School Night (My Zoom link and password was included in Dr. Fauser's email!), but I realize that there are many teachers to visit during my time slot, so here is a brief share of information you are probably wondering about in case you can't virtually pop in tonight! If you have more questions, please feel free to email me!

    Blended learners:

I will be able to pull you into my classroom since there will only be a few of us we will be able to stay distanced within my small classroom.  We will be working on ELA and Math during the designated WIN and/or Guided reading times that have been built into our new schedule! I may not pull the first or second week of school due to testing, however, so please be patient and know that I'll be working with you VERY soon!

    Remote/Blended learners:

I will be posting lessons to Schoology just like the homeroom teachers.  Some of those lessons may be embedded within the regular classroom teacher's lessons, while some may be from my Schoology page.  As we learn more about which is the most productive mode to deliver and grade content we will keep you posted.  I ask for patience in this matter as we are all still learning how to best utilize the system.  That being said, I'm very excited to have it since Schoology has a lot to offer and it will only get better with time!

We will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays via zoom during MTSS time as indicated in the email you probably received last week.  I will also be popping in on homeroom teacher Zooms whenever my schedule allows and depending on what is going on and how things develop as the year progresses I have some time built into my schedule to plan on some even smaller group Zooms or 1-1 pending needs that arise!  I'm learning a whole bunch of new techniques and tools to use during Zoom calls, so I'm excited to start using them! I've learned a lot of cool techy tricks from other teachers on TikTok and Instagram, both forms of social media I never thought I would use, yet they have come in quite handy! (No, don't go looking for me!  I don't post anything on TikTok...I just learn from other teachers!)

Once everything is up and running there will be more information about how to access Schoology!

I'm looking forward to an interesting, yet GREAT, year!
