GENERAL INFORMATION
My name is Cristy Rice and I am the school psychologist for the Camp Hill School District. I work with students in all of the buildings, Kindergarten through 12th grade. I also work with many of the Early Intervention students before they come to Kindergarten at CHSD. I conduct Initial Evaluations and Gifted Evaluations, serve on the SAP Team (Student Assistance Program Team) for the middle and high schools and on the MTSS Teams (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) for the schools. I also assist with Reevaluations, Behavior Plans, 504 Plans, the PBIS Teams (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) for all of the schools and I am also available to provide Teacher and Parent Consultation on a variety of topics. At times, I carry out some small group interventions, such as school-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
I VERY Much enjoy working with ALL of the
Students, Parents and Teachers in the
District! Camp Hill is a Wonderful School District
set within a Fantastic, CARING
and Supportive Community!

Information about Evaluations and Reevaluations
As you may know, the assessments for Initial Evaluations and Reevaluations were delayed during the spring term of 2020, due to the inability of staff to work directly with students (as directed by Gov. Wolfe's closure of PA Schools in response to the COVID pandemic) and most students were only in school (initially), three days a week during the 2020-2021 school year.
At this time, the assessments for evaluations have resumed. Please keep in mind that Camp Hill School District offers support to ALL students through our AWESOME Multi-tiered Systems of Support, or MTSS. Positive Behavior is also promoted, district wide, through our PRIDE Program (a PBIS or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program). If you feel that your child needs additional supports or you have concerns in general, please contact your child's teacher, school counselor and/or me.
If your child is to have a psycho-educational evaluation/reevaluation with assessments, you will be contacted by the school psychologist (Cristy Rice), the student's special education case manager, Courtney Maurer (Psychology Department Admin. Assistant), the Director of Special Education and Student Services (Autumn Reely) or the Special Education Office Manager (Alexis Ridolfi).
