8th Grade Reading

Students in 8th grade reading, will meet 5 days a cycle to work on individual reading strategies and skills throughout the year.

In addition, students will work on fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary using root words to expand the understanding on how words work.

Novels will also be read such as:

Tuck Everlasting 

Hidden                            

The Call of the Wild

Uprising

The Westing Game

Walk Two Moons

These books will be read for enjoyment and for comprehension.

Homework assignments will be given throughout the year. The homework will be assigned on Monday and will be due on Friday by 3:00 pm. The work will be graded for accuracy. Any homework assignment not completed will earn a 0.
