The Hoover Elementary Renovation Project, the District Administration Offices and College Park Tennis Courts were advertised for public bid at the beginning of August. Bids were received on Wednesday, September 4 and were followed by a Public Bid opening held at the Sutliff Family Auditorium. On Friday, September 6, at a joint meeting of the Buildings and Grounds and Budget and Finance/Personnel Committees, the decision was made to reject the bids due to total project costs exceeding estimated costs by approximately $3,000,000. This affects decisions related to all future projects. The Board and District Administration have begun working to re-prioritize infrastructure needs at Hoover Elementary and the Middle School/High School to align with the Board approved financing plan.
